Well its been about 2 months since I got my Matco jsc480 and I unfortunately am not all that happy with the build quality. Especially concidering I opted out on Matcos Chinese made offerings in the lower price range. Right out the gate the lid rubbed on the inside of my box. My Matco guy gave me a 200 credit for the issue. But now the latch to lock the drawers is beginning to stick to where I have to wiggle it around before the pin will slide. Anyone else run into these issues. ***** cause it hasn't lasted a day before giving me issues and only carries a 1 year warranty...

So an update on build quality....
The locking latch at the back of the box sticks and when brought up to my Matco dealer he's unwilling to do any more. So now I have to fiddle around with the latch to get it to unlock and lock each time I open or close it for the day.

I have to fiddle with the lock on my tool cart to get it to lock sometimes too, but it's a $100 US General 4-drawer so I don't expect a whole lot. I guess you are stuck with yours for a while which is unfortunate. I am equally shocked to learn it has only a 1 year warranty. The more I read this board, the less inclined I am to buy Matco...

I really like their 5s and 6s boxes. Which to my understanding are lifetime. However for my line of work in don't need something so big and unfortunately snap on doesn't come to my work so my choice was Matco or Cornwell and the Cornwell boxes are on par with husky to me
