I have an old Mac metric wrench set, but the 19mm is only 10" long or so and I find more often than not I'm using a cheater on it. So I was looking into longer wrench sets and found a few good prices on Ebay for the Matco modified wrench sets. I did some research and a few comments stated they weren't as good as Snap On flank drive and stuff like that. I have Mac Knuckle Saver's for my SAE and they are very nice. They work great, but I will say they are a bit thinner than I would like. The one Matco ratchet wrench I have is thick and feels good, as do my newer Snap On's. Anyone have any feedback on the Matco modified wrenches? Why are they called modified? Thanks

They have an antislip type open end and off corner engagement on the boxed end hence, the modified name. However, I think a 19mm in their long series isn't much more than 11 inches long so. it wouldn't be a major improvement over your MAC wrench. If you need long, long at zero offset long boxed end wrenches.

Well I just bought the 10 piece set for $80 brand new. My 19mm Mac wrench is only 8" while the Matco is 11". I figured for the price I would give them a shot and if I don't like them I can easily sell them on Craigslist.

I also just bought a brand new 10 piece set off eBay for $85 (not quite as good a deal as gdocktor but I'm still happy with them and the price. They're nice wrenches.
