I found a matco mb4725bb roller box for sale. I can`t find it on Matco site so probably has a newer part # today. This one is a 2003 model. Anyone know size, quality, price new and what it might be worth today? It`s about a 100 miles away so would like alittle info before traveling Thanks

Thanks Engineboy, I assumed the part# had changed. I found the 4225 on Matco however I could not get the spec to come for box size, drawer size etc.

Chris, No not the same thread, I seen this on Craigslist. Its about 100 miles away and I was trying to find specs.

You missed my meaning.:)
I was referencing the thread, not saying this was a repeat. In that thread was some answers to some of your questions and Engineboy may have answered the rest.
Got any specific questions about the use of the box?
Value of the box is what you will pay for it. I’ve seen them ‘well below’ a thousand, and lots go for 1200.
I have also seen them go for 2500. Depends on the deal you can make, your area, etc. etc.

It is a very good box and will do the trick in the shop or home as well as any truck box.

:lol_hitti Now I`m with you Chris. Is the box a 54" x 24" deep? It is on Craigslist and has one dent in top front (looks like something got knocked over on it. It is priced under $1000 Thanks for the help

Check the function of the drawers carefully, and the lock. The lock is a LOT more complicated than you might think and a blow hard enough to ding one of these boxes could mess something up.

If he's asking 1000, offer him 650-675. Give him your phone number and then wait. It may sell, but prices are coming down FAST so what the heck, there will be another one soon.

The box is 56 long by 24 deep, not 54.
notice in my picture in the other thread I have two 26x16x20 Craftsman Griplatch chests sitting on my box. There is plenty of room for that.

What are you getting for yours?
Wish someone would sell the top chest cheap here in Southern California, but I almost never see top chests by themselves.

I was asking 3,500 or best offer. I will sell the top for 1200.00.It is full of brand new still in the package Mac Tools that are For Sale also..I was a dealer and due to the lovley California Economy I closed up.

The box is in like new condition. Liners are real nice also.Does not even have truck wear on it.

Thanks for all the input.A box is not a must have for me. I am looking around to upgrade size and quality because prices have come down so much. I going on the 25%- 33% of new price. I left my contact info on a Snap on KRL 54inch with a guy that thinks it`s worth 75% of new.I`m with you Chris I have never been concerned about missing out on a deal. Tool boxes seem to be like cross town buses today, miss one, another will be along shortly.

Growing up in the 70s working on hot rods I think the 70s Snap on roll tops are the cats meow :bounce:

They are nice boxes if you can still find one that has not neen through the war.

But they dont have roller bearings. Those drawers when loaded are a real bear to open and close.

Um, you have the wrong box. I have one. Built at the end of 2004. Trust me, it is roller bearings. Big ones. And my wife can open this drawer with one finger.
