Picked up my first Pro tool chest today! Will need some very good advise on doing some straightening of wrinkles, hole patching, re-squareing, general bodywork as I have never done any before. This box was being transported thru the shop on forks of forklift and slid off with a load of tools in the forward position hitting on the front corners, they are pushed in prettygood. Also hit a object on one side and made two big dents with holes, handle was missing as well as it needs a new lock w/mechanism.
someone else had a thread about patching holes in the sheet metal without the use of a welder. My neighbor can fill them in for me with his wire welder.
I guess my questions are: best way to get the box in square, straightening the sheet metal as straight as possible, finding a new lock and handle, cleaning, preping, filler, primer and paint.
Any advise will be appreciated, this is a very nice older box and the sheet metal is very thick (weighs more than 100lbs)
