MATCO MD9500 OBD2 scanner and ABS scanner

ok after seeing this in the truck flyer thread i saw this little scanner in it.I was wondering if anybody has this and can tell me what they think, trying to find a low cost solution to have a scanner that can read and tell me what ABS sensor is bad as well as read codes. Thanks

I haven't tried that one out, but I have demo'd several of the inexpensive scan tools that claim to do abs with very poor results. I tried the matco md1072 out for a week a while back and was very disappointed after all the claims they make about it. http://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/MD1072/ENHANCED-SCAN-ADVISOR/
I was unable to get any sort of bidirectional control on at least 10 different vehicles, including some very popular gm and dodges. On top of that it refused to allow me to access any chassis or body systems on a 2003 dodge ram cummins. This vehicle uses the same body and abs systems as the gas version of it, but since the matco doesn't have cummins support it wouldn't even try. Basically when it comes to diagnostic scan tools you really do get what you pay for, now with that said-if you can verify that this one works with your vehicle and you are a diyer then by all means go for it, but if you are professional then start saving your pennies and buy the real deal or you will most definitely regret it.

i have a matco mps700 and love it, use it every day professionally. it does everything the snap on ethos does for way less moneys
