I had one of those for about a month. I bought 2 lots of tools and it was in it. Took awhile to figure it out, (it did not come with directions), but I found a manual on the web and used it 3 times when my truck engine light came on. It worked for me to figure out what was going on. I did not use it for any other diagnostic testing though, just as a basic code reader. I am sure some people either have used this or have this, and have much more experience than I, just give it some time they will chime in. BTW that is a good price for it. I ended up selling mine on eBay for 150. Should of got more I guess but the guy was totally happy with it.

the code connect feature is very helpful i find.
the live data list can be lacking especially for older models.
i wish you could see misfire counters on it

Its a rebadged actron unit for the most part i believe useful as a code reader and some live data ... i've used the launch brand of code reader and found them to a little more useful but thats just my opinion.

Check amazon for the code reader. I got the actron model last year for $140. Same as the otc and the matco.

ok well im using the reader now, and not trying to be a stickler but rebadged or not (i knew otc made scanners for matco, as well as mac) thats not what im looking for info on.

I have one now, used it twice already, is there a list of vehicles that the code connect works on? i cant get it come up on my duramax.

Like others have said, it's rebranded so you can get the exact same thing cheaper. My shop has the OTC branded version and I think it's good for what it is... a code reader with some extra features. I like to use it for quick checks before I hook up my Modis.

sooo about the code connect feature, the top ten fixes deal yadda yadda

do i have to set that up or not? i hooked up to 2 different vehicles and it didnt come up on the screen. If this wont work on my chevy duramax i will return it, im always messing with that truck and thats the main reason i checked this scanner out

It's hit or miss when it'll work, but the code connect feature is mostly useless anyway. If you get a tps code, the top fixes will be the tps sensor, 1 fix will be the wiring harness, and 1 fix will be replaced the ecm. I really think it does more harm than good.
