got this box/cart for free, never used a service cart before as my box was always at the front of my service bay. now working in the HD truck industry i find this cart handy, but there is not enough room for my likings. has anybody with this box adapted a side cabinet to it?? if so, which make and model cabinet did you use. just looking at making it more practical, more mobil storage. what have you guys done with this box??

try to talk to your tool man see if you can trade it for a sliding top. Not a fan of flip top myself. the top is wasted space.

They make a side shelf for it, not more storage, but is nice little work surface. It folds down when you dont want it in your way.

I've seen pics here of people with similar carts. There are magnetic wrench and socket holders that will stick to the inside of the top lid. That should free up some space.

Unfortunately, I don't know what brands offer them. Some searching on the forum might give you some results.

Also, I think I saw it in a thread titled "show us your tool carts," or something like that.

EDIT--found it. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46050

Here's just one pic

Have you looked at a Cornwell? They have one that is similar to the Napa one.

Where are you located Reesez?

I'm pretty sure matco has an option to install 3 more drawers into that cart.

I'd be a bit worried about a "loaded" side box attached to a cart, and well... gravity.

I have the same box and love it, fortunately it's within ten feet of my main box, so additional space isn't an issue.
