to be honest, my matco guys comes by selliing tools all the time, this air ratchet, is the same identical one sold at HF for less than half. I like matco and all, but i just wont pay that kind of money for something thats made cheap..I love IR , but i dont think this item is IR based..

one of my guys bought one a few weeks ago, its a nice impact, a little on the loud side, but its very strong.. it was a rebuilt unit, still had 15 ,months on warrenty.. they are ir based air guns, where the air ratchets are not..and do have a fitting to grease the hammers unlike snappy..so they are nice guns. i thought you were talking about the air ratchet and gun combo deal that have on special..

It was made by IR. It's been discontinued for a while now. It was replaced by the MT1857. I might have specs for it in an old catalog at home.

As I recall this air ratchet was rated at around 50 foot pounds of torque. Mac still sells a version of it called the AR154. I have one and its great.
