So here's the video to that ratchet I posted about a few months ago. I still wouldn't buy that thing. I like my hands, they're cut up and beat enough as it is.

I saw that ratchet on the Matco truck, they're making them in Taiwan.

Do you think that the Pit Bull ratchet is made by IR and will come out as an IR model in a few months after Matco is given a few months to be first on the street? I think Matco gets all of their air tools from IR. I think I'll stick to my 3/8 impact.

I think your probably right; I have always been able to pick out the OEM company who supplies Matco rebadged air tools (usually Ingersoll Rand IMHO), I don't think they have ever designed their own air tool line.

Matco free speed is only 180rpm. IR Super Duty 109xp free speed is 300rpm. I like speed.. I dont wanna stand there and just drive a long bolt down. I like my 109XP :) I wish I had a boot for the head.. I dropped it the other day ! ouch.

No mention or view of the line pressure? Could one have been at 25 psi and the other at 125 psi?

Now, this video is real
Well, maybe not! :)

When I see crazy demos or commercials that show products being used or doing things I don't need it to do, I wonder how many people run out and buy it and never use for anything.

You gotta admit, the video was pretty impressive ... looks like they were comparing it to a Snap On FAR720 ...

I wonder what the 130 ft lbs would do to your fingers the first time a bolt seat and the ratchet keeps turning.. I like my Snap On thanks.. and if i want to loosen bolts up i have an impact wrench for that..

You said exactly what I was thinking..... I have crushed my fingers really "good" with a much less powerful ratchet..... can't imagine with that monster!

I remember my first Air Ratchet it was 50 ft lbs as it kicked hard once when i was changing a rear sway bar turned 3 of my fingers black.. i can only imagine 130 ft lbs.. i predict alot of these will be on ebay..

Cool video but I'm not keen on the thought of grabbing an air ratchet to undo high torque items.

I would think this is built and will end up catering to a production environment

I don't get it. Unless you're restoring Sherman tanks, King Tiger's or Redstone missles, why would you need this thing?

It does come in handy to have a high torque air ratchet, sometimes when you need get something out in a tight spot and you don't want to swing a ratchet. As for the video i have that SO ratchet (far7200) and it would have pulled that bolt if he started about 1/2" away started the ratchet and pushed it on the bolt.
