The Matco guy mentioned a new air ratchet they have coming out.. it's 3/8" 130 FT lb air ratchet. Doesn't that seem a little insane? for $330 I might buy IF there was no kickback. I would just be afraid to use that anywhere remotely in a tight spot.

My Matco guy has not mentioned it. Wander if they are using hammers like Mac? I would like to try one out, would be very usefull if it did not break your arm.

My Matco tool guy dont say anything about it... he would show it if it is brand new...

So i would like to see one but mostly percents of chance that i wont buy it because i already had three air ratchets and i am use a lot of impact wrench (MG31)....

my IR ratchet puts out 60lb/ft and that's more than enough for any of the jobs i've used it for. 130lb/ft seems like overkill for a 3/8" ratchet.

I have an aircat 3/8" claims to put 80 ft lbs, I think it's actually less as it didn't loosen the bolts in the exhaust system that day. But it wasn't a nice feeling when it stalled could have busted knuckles if not careful

Let says this new one does 130 ft lbs and you hold it at 8" at the handle, if the bolt was seized anyway how much force would be needed to stop it? I think 8/12 * 130 = 87 lbs I don't think I am manly enough to pull that off in awkward positions

Exactly. I have hurt myself with my FAR7200, I'm not even going to touch 130 ft lbs without it having a slip clutch.

My Matco guy didn't actually mention it, I just saw the flyer on his counter, and asked about it. He said they had them at a Matco show down in Florida or something.

i used my matco tool air ratchet (max torque to 80 ft lbs) and i tried to get in tight area loose the bolt but somewhat i busted my hand and blood keep drip and drip.... that reason why i had to use impact wrench first unless i had to use air ratchet....

I have MAC AR778A and is rated at 80ft. lbs. I have busted my knuckles a few times if i wasn't being careful, i would hate to see what another 50ft.lbs. would do

Yeah my old husky is rated at like 65ft-lb, that hurts enough...

I do own AR1776 which it is flat head air ratchet... i love it but i keep it as back up because i still use matco tool air ratchet as it is strong and loud...

AR1776 is 80 ft lbs rated....
