IMO yes, they have saved me some trouble over time. The Astro Flank bite sockets grip in a similar way but tend to get stuck on whatever is being removed. Both grip in the center of the hex flat and can dig in. Flank bite sockets are also branded for Matco, FWIW.
Turbo sockets only work one way, so you cant really loosen/tighten repeatedly to work said fastener free if it's rusted. So it can be helpful to have something like the non slips or flank bite.
Also FWIW, Flank drive plus are under size by appearence, so not quite the same. They are more ideal for "shrunken" bolts such as exhaust manifold hardware or very rusted stuff where your 13mm is a 12.5mm or similar.
