If I could get that box for $2-300, I would have no problem investing in a paint job to restore that box.

That drawer appears to suffer from the "I can't find my keys and the stuff I need is in that drawer..." syndrome. It appears the key lock cylinder is missing.

I wonder if this box didn't start out in someone else's shop/garage and magically in the depths of a stormy night, find itself in a new location where the "new" owner didn't have the keys to extract the contents...

For the money, I think it is an okay deal. I would offer around $450-500 for it up here. It is still a decent size.
