I was looking at this set - 1/4 mid-length impact. I use the M12 impact and screwdriver a fair bit hence the inclination towards impact sockets. Looking for input from anyone used this set or Matco impact 1/4 in general please. Alternately, if there are better alternatives? thanks in advance.

I may have a better alternative for you.

Grey Pneumatic with inset magnets to catch the nuts or bolts you pull off. I have them and love them. And they are half as much as the Matco's.

After all Grey Pneumatic is what Matco sold off the truck as a economy line. Not that Matcos are bad, I like them better than SO or sure.

That looks like a rather interesting set of sockets! The problem is they are CAD $130 on our Amazon, which puts them at roughly the price of the Matco's. It's tragic what some stuff that is reasonable south of the border costs in Canada... How well do they sit on fasteners? I don't mean the magnetic draw, but if they slip when they see some torque... Recently long handle 1/4 ratchets have become my new favourite tool and are replacing a lot of the lighter stuff the 3/8 saw. The reason I am thinking truck brand is getting a warranty on stuff like Gearwrench and Carlyle involves a cross-border drive or a multi-week wait - not something I want to risk with my primary set.
