I have never owned a "Tool Truck Box" and am not a 'Pro".
My Big Box Store 52" cart is tired and was beat up a bit by the moving company when I relocated it here 10 years ago. As I became older I started downsizing my tool collection to reflect what I really needed.
My question is that I found Matco JSC653 box in white that appears to be in good shape that I am looking at, although the sliding tops are a little stiff to open, the box is available to me for a third of it's current retail value and would/should hold everything I have left except for a few power tools which are going into a cabinet. It would help to continue my goal of cleaning up my garage and downsizing.
I do not know the boxes history as it is being resold by a pawn shop, it appears to have lived a somewhat easy life, from what I hear these types of carts hold their value and I like the sliding top as I have a steel workbench, so a flip top would work too.
How do I decide if this is worth the money or should I just go with the new US General tool cart, for actually less money?
