Tried google and here appears these clips are made by Vim? My question is...are there any alternative clips available on amazon? I see lots of options but I can't seem to figure out witch ones are compatible with the matco rails and the one link on another thread just comes up sockets thanks in advance for any leads !!!

if in fact that are vim, which is very likely since matco doesnt make anything and vim is often rebranded for alot of higher end tool companies.

Not all black clips which fit over rails are the same. The governing factor is whether the rail in question has a ridge/shoulder around the outside. If it does the Performance Tool clips are correct (they have the inner shoulder which rides on the shoulder of the rail). If not, the Wrights are correct. They are not interchangeable.

Sometimes you can tell from photos whether or not they have the shoulder. Some brands on Amazon with the shoulder are Ares, Olsa, ABN, Mechan.

Some without the shoulder (last time I looked) are Vim, Wright, Armstrong, Matco, Snap On, Goliath, Craftsman, Wiha, Bergen, Inertia Tools, Casomanl, Horusdy, Sedy, Mayouko, Makitoyo, WXTools. But look carefully at the photos, sometimes things change.

:)

That would be the second style I listed. DeCableGuy is correct.

The NAPA ones won't work - if you look closely at the picture you can see the shoulder, which will interfere with the rail. Another difference is the curvature, or lack, of the top surface of the rails. Yours is peaked, the other is rounded.

The differences are slight. But once you know, you can't unsee them.....

In addition to Epstein, I notice Cripe Distributing has the ones you want, 10 for $3.00, plus shipping, in all sizes. In this case the brand is Armstrong.

while at cripedistributing also look for clips under craftsman and kobalt brand as those are the same clips too.

I would give Jori at Epsteins a call. they should be able to cut that shipping cost since you're only ordering clips.

I may very well try that the website and offerings seem great but shipping was more the half the cost of 40 clips
