a friend of mine had a pair of these and the only thing he mentioned to me was that they are not the cadillac of oil filter pliers. i'm left to assume that means they work but there is better. :)

I have these pliers. They are ok. One problem I have is when you are trying to navigate around obsticals one or both jaws can move and be offset from the other one, and by the time you reach your filter it can be difficult to reset. I feel if they made them with locking positions like locking flex head ratchets it would be a better useage tool. Over all they work.

Some times, because one leg will grip off center,but they are strong,althogh the grip teeth aren't as aggressive as other types.
