What do you think this box is worth? Cant find a similar one on craigslist or Ebay to judge price.

I don't know why, it looks like a craftsman box to me. Not an expert though.

Looks late 80's. The next drawer pull style after the double loop handles. If the 33" model, I could see $500 if its as nice as it looks. If its 26" wide, maybe $300. As special edition, I'm guessing because its black. In the late 80's the world hadn't gone to hell and tool boxes where red ******** it. To paint a box anything eles was enough to slap a special edition badge.

I think that is a MB1200 stack, should be all ball bearing besides the top split drawers and ~36" wide and 20" deep.

Looks the same as my red MB1200 stack.......I bought mine new in 1990 just before I left the dealership. I was hoping these were worth more! I was going to sell mine that's in excellent shape, but not at $500........guess I will have to see if I can repurpose it. Good luck to the OP and let us know what you have to give for them.

I could see up to ~$600-750 for a very clean, keys, liners, no problems, large dents, etc, just top and bottom. Single bank boxes, especially top/bottom combos aren't very popular anymore and there is quite a bit of competition. Add in that Matco isn't as well recognized as some other players to the average home owner, which is typically the type that would be interested in a single bank top/bottom combo. I'm not a fan of that in black though. Never know.

I always read about guys here who pick up these great deals on toolboxes....I live in a large city in Texas and there are no such deals to be had on a used box....And that includes searching surrounding cities.....Is it my location??? Everyone here wants about half or more of the new cost of there box....Its probably different if u work in a repair shop. I struggled to get a Krsc46 for 700 in excellent condition(I love it).

What large city magicrat? It just takes time and persistence turning over rocks if you will.

Special edition is another way of saying, Matco didn't make it. How deep is it? Looks like older waterloo to me. $250 :dunno:

I was thinking the exact same thing. Looks very much like an old Craftsman I used to have.

Why not post dimensions, specs and model number from the get go? Make us do all the work? :wtf:
