matco tool cart - $10
mint condition
on wheels
drawer underneath

I can't go wrong, right? I call the guy, and he is only a 5 minute drive. I grab a $10 spot and am out the door. Here's what I brought home...

Maybe a little false advertisement. It was a guy in his 40s or so, and he was saying he is done wrenching for good since a stroke last year, and is cleaning things up. He starts showing me other things he wants to sell, so I follow. He says, "How about a torque wrench, $50 a piece, or both for $75?"

:) HELL YEAH!!! He keeps digging through stuff I don't need, when I see another red box, and ask about it. He says, "Oh, that compression tester? $25, and it yours."

After giving the man $110 total, he says, "Here, take these damn bolts, I'm just gonna throw them away if you don't." Can't say no to that. I thought he was gonna grab a bag for the bolts, but no, gave me the metal case as well.

I think I did pretty well. :bounce:

Hey Kevin, I got that same cart...picked it up last fall for $60. Mine is missing the other drawer too...you know it's supposed to have two.

Apparently some people don't know the meaning of 'mint' condition...

The cart is ok but the torque wrenches are well worthy of major suckage. Good buy!!!:thumbup:

You stated that we're going to hate you. Not true, there is a difference between jealousy and hatred but you are testing the outer limits of jealousy:lol_hitti

As far as the cart goes, I suppose it is in $10. mint condition.:bounce:

I guess we now know what 'mint condition' means

link of like something I saw that decodes what car ads mean.

hardly any rust
(they mean hardly any rust on the antenna, the rest of the car is a rust heap)

rebuilt engine
(I had the valve seals replaced because it was smoking so much)

like new
( it will be new to YOU)

very fast
(the brakes do not work well enough to slow the car down)

desirable model
(its what the salesman told me I should buy when I got it from the used car lot)

rare model
(was not popular)

rare color
(most cars are not painted pepto bismo pink)

good project car
(I never could figure out how to get it back together)

sorry to see it leave
(I am not sorry it left the previous owners place and ended up at mine)
