Does anyone know if these are available through other companies? Matco usually just re-brands everything, so Id imagine these are available elsewhere?

Any one else using this? I bought it for my socket drawer but didn't have enough pieces to organize all my sockets. I had to order a whole bunch more. Would be nice if the had a dedicated set for wrenches or sockets and not a mix of both like it comes.

I like it... A lot. The boards are expensive at $150 a sheet, but I can do the same with some plywood. The tool holders aren't terribly priced, but doing my toolbox would still cost several hundred dollars, even using plywood.

Has anyone tried making these boards out of HPDE? I’m getting a Snap On KRSC46 cart that I’d like to do a couple drawers in. I believe the inside drawer dimensions are 34.75” by 17”. There’s no Matco boards with the right dimensions without having a lot of waste. I can get a whole 48” by 96” sheet of black HPDE for around $80. Curious how well the Matco screws will hold in HPDE.

I think it’d be a lot easier for cleanup than foam too.

good point, foam decays too and can hold a lot of moisture, bought some tools off an aircraft engineer who used foam and load of his tools had bad pitting at points touch foam hard.
Plastic holders and blow moulded trays about best . this matco system pretty much ideal but I won't use it until price drops as would cost me more than what I paid for my 2 used 7525 boxes :-/

I have one of these. My matco dealer sold it to me at cost for a trial. Its ok. I can't utilize it as effectively in my old KR1000 because the drawers aren't deep enough for sockets and this board.

For those that have this grid system, do you use the smaller tip holder or handle holder pieces for 1/4" and 3/8" drive extensions? From the ones I've seen in pictures, it looks like they use the smaller ones for 1/4" and 3/8" and the larger ones for 1/2".

I am pretty sure I saw the original company advertise on my facebook feed. If it pops back up, I will add the link. But it certainly wasn't Matco.

I believe the original company is Mantis but they link to Matco for sales. It would just make more sense to me to sell universal board sizes for different brand boxes too. I’d have to buy nearly double the square inches I need to do a complete drawer at $130 and end up with useless shapes of board after I cut them down.

If I buy a 4’ by 8’ sheet of HDPE for $80, I can get 5 whole pieces and have the shop at work throw them on a cnc.
