today my matco tool guy came in and i always told him i want go in his truck as i can take my break time.. so i went to his tool truck, i was looking around to see what a tool that i am interesting to buy... until i saw a longest ratchet i ever see in his tool truck. it is matco 88 teeth 15in length 3/8drive ratchet..

i was thought it would be nice to own and use it where i need to do repairs. i was thought myself that it may be about 130 or 140 dollars for it BUT my matco tool guy told me as 108.05 dollars (he have to sell retail price because of he is new dealer) i was surprised that it is less than i thought. so i decided to try it with my hand and it feel nice and i had imaged myself with it on ford works.... so i decided to bought it and paid for it... lot of techs at my work think i am very out of mind to own the longest 3/8drive ratchet in my work!!!

oh well i just like to investment on tools that i am use for my living or my pleasure at home if i have side jobs or work on my family vehicles or motorcycles...

do anyone of matco tool dealer have one in stock and sold it quick??? my matco tool guy just stock this ratchet(which just become mine) and sold to me quick than what he thought as he dont know how long it will be until techs see and buy...

Good looking ratchet!! There are always times when I wish for a longer 3/8" ratchet. I've been itching to build a 24" 1/2" drive from a breaker bar.. just haven't nutted up yet.

yeah i am agree with you... i am glad that i bought it.. i was surprised that matco made one!!! i am starting to like the matco 88 teeth action but i am still ******** on snap on FHNF100....

When I see the Matco guy, I will inquire on this ratchet for the very same reason. A long 3/8 ratchet will certainly come in handy if it can handle the torque.

yeah i almost tried to do that but i found a good deals on used 24in longest ratchet as flex ratchet so i had bought it and done with it...

i would recommend it if you need longest ratchet that you need. but need be caution as i did test and the handle could be little flex but i think it is cause by mechanical inside of ratchet OR being a longest handle???

What??? SN24B handle doesn't flex for you ??? :)

Please let me know how it works for you. The reason I mention the beaker is that it flexes like crazy when you really pull on it, but it always works and never beaks. Maybe the matco ratchet will be part of that tradition.

very nice. I may have to pick one up now. I wish it was a flex head. I wonder if they will come out with that soon.

I did asked my matco tool guy before i bought it, will matco tool sell a flex head version?, he said no as not make one now.. only non-flex ratchet..

But i am happy with mine..

i will update this post next week when i work at dealership. i will do test and see how it going...

I like that ratchet, I been looking for a non flex head long ratchet and this might be what I get since I have a great Matco dealer. I'll check back, if you like it a lot I'll probably buy it, i too also work a lot on Fords, especially pick ups.
I just picked up a long 1/4 drive Cornwell with the hard handle just for that actually.

ford are popular of tight area works... that why i have a lot and lot of tools to make my jobs go easier than other techs do... :beer:

No kidding, those 6.4s and now the 6.7s are a tight squeeze. I do a lot of work on the 6.0s, for that matter all the ones that come to my shop, so I have a lot of tools specifically to work on them. The old 7.3s are so easy to work on.

No sh!t!!!! I was think about to do some of diesel work but my wrk already had 6 diesel techs so I let them do it even I just do oil changes, fuel filters. Brakes, some of transmission replacements, and belts. That all the reason is u service director want me to do all gas engines works because of I am good on it...

You should try working on a 5.9L cummins. Easiest thing in the world:thumbup:

That's a nice ratchet right there! Good buy! Sometimes, you just need that extra reach. I bought a long 1/4" ratchet a little while ago for just that reason - reaching into tight spots in my Civic.
