Matco Tools Streamlight Strion

Anybody have one of these or familiar with them?

I found one on a hike in the mountains here yesterday. It was covered in oi soaked dirt and filth. Cleaned it up and it works great. It's this model: https://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/M95157/STRION-LED-FLASHLIGHT-HIGH-LUMEN-LIGHT-ONLY-BLUE/

I checked the Matco site and this is a rechargeable unit.

The flashlight itself is about $200 and the charger is $125. That's just stupid $$$.

Can I simply buy replacement batteries for this or is there somebody else that sells a reasonably priced charger for it?

You can buy a basic charger and the wall wart from Amazon for less than $50.

That's a shitload of money for a 500 lm flashlight. You could get a killer fenix light for that.

That is just a streamlight strion. You can get the same thing (and color) on amazon for under 100 dollars. Chargers are still a bit expensive, but much less than what matco is charging.

Another options is finding a police uniform store nearby. Most carry streamlight. Might be able to get a charger that uses a USB cable, that saved me 25 dollars recently on the bigger version of the charger.

edit: I reread the first post. If you just need a charger, you can get them on amazon for around 30 dollars. Just make sure it takes a USB cable, otherwise you have to get one with the stupidly expensive $25 AC or DC power cable. With USB you can charge in a car or on the wall with an old cell phone charger.

A tad risky, but Ebay has the USB smart charger for 18 dollars plus shipping, but it is an auction item and used.

I have multiple Streamlights. Streamlight Strion with the big head is one of them. Also it is VERY bright. Yours is the small head.
