Matco tools TV commercial

Wow I just saw a TV commercial plugging Matco tools franchises. Interesting...I have never seen any truck tool company coverage on TV except on old moster garage episodes or something. Didn't they used to give them MAC or Matco tools if they finished the build in time?

Several of those shows on Spike TV are sponsored by Matco and they flash the name and products all the time. Just saw a gratuitous shot of the Matco logo on the torque wrench they were using on a Chrysler 360 motor just this morning. Big money in the product placement business my friend's father used to own a business that did it for movies, they actually block out company names that are not paid sponsors.

Some network TV programs were blocking out the Apple logo on computers used on the show a couple of years ago for that same reason, but a lot of Apple fans were so disgusted by that behavior, that they'd boycott the show.
