Matco impact sockets are Made in USA, however they have the "Matco Silver Eagle" line which are imported. I believe COO is Taiwan.

You will know immediately whether you are looking at the US made sockets or the Silver eagles, as there is a significant price difference.

Call that number and ask them if they still make sockets there.

Professional Tools Products. They relabel tools for the tool trucks.

Matco Link

ToolTopia Link

The socket set in the Matco link look exactly like the socket set in the ToolTopia link made by Grey pneumatic; are you telling us they're not the same sockets?

They are not GP. There was a big split between Matco & GP because of the ADV line. The big difference is the ADV has a beveled edge where it attaches to the ratchet/extension that GP does not. & yes, as a former Matco distributor I'm telling you that I'm 1000% positive they are not the same sockets.

I have 1 set of the ADV sockets and no complaints, not used very often as they are a 12 point set and I do not run across a ton of 12 pt in my dealership daily. for the money they are good sockets with good warranty and tool truck service

Are they worth the price difference of $125 ?

I do not understand why USA companies are willing to errode the value of their good name by putting their name on a Chinese product that competes with their USA products. Did they not see that the Snap-on vs. Blue Point model was working out pretty well?

There is a reason you will not see Blue Point marketed as Snap-on Blue Point. Even though everyone knows that Blue Point comes from Snap-on, the are trying to keep it very distinct. Very good move in my book.

to answer the origional question asked matcos sockets are made by a manufacturing company called national machine. this company produces all of matcos usa sockets. you cannot get any of their usa sockets from any other company under any other brand. matcos usa sockets are top quality i can actually say i am a fan of them. i have all matco usa impact sockets 3/8 short and deep and 1/2 short and deep 10mm-36mm. i also have matco 3/8 mid length and deep chrome sockets my 1/4 are cornwell they are good but not as happy with them. and my 3/8 short sockets and 3/8 sae chrome sockets are snap on and quite frankly, i wouldnt really be upset if i traded them for matco equivelent. matco usa makes a very good socket. esp their impact line
