Is anyone familiar with a Matco WFW 251 mig ? What amperage ? Who makes it? Reliable ?

From what I've been able to glean , it's made by Century , which is Lincoln's
consumer line and it's 250 amps, but not positive of any of that. just can't
seem to find much about them.

I have a chance to buy a barley used one with spool gun and bottle for $1000 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
David

Sounds about right, IIRC the WFW series is older mid 90's. Truck brand welders are typically a huge rip off for what you get. I'd stick with the big 3 (miller/hobart, lincoln, esab). A guy I work with buys all snap on shop equipment, compressor, welders. He has more money than sense IMHO.

Call matco on monday if you can't find a manual online.
