Just looking for costs guestimates on this garage. I'm going to do as much of the labor as possible so any of you guys have built your garage from the foundation on up. Just the basics. Standard garage doors and openers. Batt insulation and sheetrock. I know it varies by location but I figure the price of materials from the big chain stores if fairly close nation wide. Link to the prints.

Welcome to GJ !

Materials only, guesstimate about $25K to 30K.

Mine is about half the size of that one, and I'll have about $10K in it once all done, including electrical & slab. All work done myself with a helping hand from my Pop and a couple of days from my B.I.L.

(and I bought a used, but pristine garage door + my trusses were less complex).

With a project of that size-
I'd stay away from the big box stores. Find a local wholesale lumber supplier and buy from them. You'll get a much better price on just about all the materials needed than orange or blue's full retail prices!

I spent a little over $ 17,000 on lumber for my 24x40 two story garage. This did not include roofing or windows or doors. I went thru Pacific SUpply in California, this was in 2008 and I think lumber was at a real low due to downturn in home building....no idea if prices have gone up since.

I think $25-30k will get you all material including garage doors, siding, and windows along with lumber n roofing? Don't think it would cover concrete. This obviously does not cover ANY labor.

I am building a 28x38 garage here in Alberta, 3 overhead doors 8x10, 4 windows,man door,insulation ,drywall,tin roof,vinyl siding, all materials to complete,package price $12,445 tax in.

I am pouring conrete this week, did everything myself, concrete will be around $4200, getting a guy to do the pour for $1.25 sq/ft so should be around $18k in the whole package including concrete, just wire and heat after that.

My project is 66' x 30', and materials estimate is coming in around $35K, not including site prep, concrete work, electrician (and his materials), HVAC (and his materials), well, or plumbing (3/4 bath in garage). That is JUST for lumber, roofing & siding. I went with 50 year shingle, and HardiePlank siding, Anderson 400 series windows - so middling or better materials. Thus, I'm in agreement with others posting here... your cost will likely be $25 - $30K.

One other thought, and questions to others: I got bids from 2 lumber supply yards and one big box store on just a subset of items from my overall list. Twenty various items, including most of the "big ticket" items like doors and roofing. Price variation was, to say the least, shocking. Lumber yards came in at 15% and 21% MORE than big box. Which now leaves me wondering....

Who should supply your materials for the garage project? IS it worth $4-$5K MORE for "personalized" service? Convenience? Do they really give a higher grade product? Accept rejected material without question?
