Been doing a house and garage declutter so things have been a mess.

Picked up some HF Daytona wheel Dollie’s so I could lay the garage out alittle better. I really like the new look. I still need to organize a few things but overall I think it’s looking good.

Hey guys,
Hope everyone is doing great. I’ve been plugging away on the Camaro. I’m going to be doing some video updates since I deleted my photobucket account where I used to always post. So I wanted to do car updates as well as garage related content. Might be alittle slow to start but it’s coming along. If you’re interested to see my retro garage come together feel free to subscribe. I will still update this post as I go along. The channel will be a way to see both builds. Thanks guys!

Small update but I’m pretty stoked about this one.

So we have been fighting damaging storms lately and we ended up with some pretty good hail damage. (Few of the many pictures of the damage)

So still waiting on insurance for that. But, we finally set up our “garden processing area” out of the back lean to on the back garage. It was just a junked up area we decided to make useful and so far I think it’s turned out well. Pulled the sink from the garage bathroom and tossed up some extra fence pickets to give some privacy from the houses behind us.

I finally got then barrel sink functional. I still need to build a shelf to hide the plumbing and finish it off but I think it turned out really well.

Well it’s been alittle while since I last posted but I’ve navigated insurance and things are finally looking up. I got a contractor on board to replace the roof, gutters and some of the rear siding. So material is starting to come together for that. Last Thursday the shingles arrived and I’m pretty excited to see the change from our current roof.

Well, it’s been a couple weeks but mid July they replaced the roof and I have to say I couldn’t be happier with the color choice! New Bronze metal roof and gutters / downspouts to come soon hopefully.

(The gutters are hung very low for some reason and that will be taken care of when the new ones go up.)

I really love how the colors pop in the shingles. The wife’s happy with the new look. She hated the brownwood shingles we had before.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! Ive been doing some small things as a change of pace from working on some of the cars etc. I spent the first couple weeks of December working on a monster truck track for my son for Christmas.

IMG_6175.jpegIMG_6173.jpeg

I had a few days off from work so I decided to repaint the bathroom in the garage. So I started taking everything down off the walls and sealing up any big cracks between the wood sheets. It’s far from perfect but it’s a huge upgrade to me. Started with a $15 gallon of oops can from Lowe’s and this is what I’ve gotten.

Bye bye dingy walls…

IMG_6255.jpeg

Hello Bold lol

IMG_6208.jpegIMG_6209.jpeg

Once I got the 3 walls painted it was time to pull all of the plates down from the wall to paint behind them. I did pick up a second gallon of paint so I knew I had enough. (I’m currently working on building a wall beside the shower and it will be painted as well.)

This is the first time in like 5 years the walls been empty.

IMG_6213.jpeg

There is 128 plates here from the wall. I have a few more that have been stacked up waiting to be put up.

IMG_6214.jpeg

I went ahead and ordered 700 screws off line so all of the plates will have matching screws as well.

IMG_6217.jpeg

I’ve slowly been deciding where to hang some of my decor in there and so far I think It’s looking great. I have the wall framed by the shower now have been working on a shelf for behind the barrel sink. Of coarse we are getting hit by an ice storm tomorrow morning so I’ve been at work a lot the last few days preparing for the storm, so I have hit a few small delays lol

IMG_6254.jpeg

I’ll make sure to update as progress is made. Have a good one!

I’ve gotten a few more things knocked out in the last week or so. Got the shower wall built and painted. Just need to get a mirror to hang on it.

IMG_6293.jpeg

I finally got all of the license plates back up on the wall minus the one behind the light switch which I havnt gotten an updated pic yet.

IMG_6332.jpegIMG_6331.jpeg

Today I threw together my corner shelf above the barrel sink. Still can’t decide if I want to make it wider to match the wall side but for now I think it will work. I’m just going to give it alittle time and see what I think about it. I still need to figure out something to block off the view of the plumbing behind the sink. Still working on that.
IMG_6358.jpeg

Last night I also threw these together. Just used some scrap steel, a few bolts and wrenches. Made a good paper towel and toilet paper holder. Not perfect but a lot cheaper than what people are selling them for online.

I’ve been on the fence if I want to just leave the floor as is or if I want to use some stick down tiles to cover the ugly painted floor in the bathroom. Not sure just yet but I still am pretty happy with it so far.

Amazing the difference painting has made to the look of the bathroom, what an improvement!

I love all the other details also like the use of old tools for paper towel holders.

Thanks! I 💯 agree. The paint made a huge difference. It’s alittle rough around the edges but I’m happy with it.

Here are a few updated pics: (not sure why a few pics look yellow)

Ended up swapping out the shop light for an older style light I painted. Of coarse its hard
To see it but oh well lol.

I just need to find a glass lens I guess you would call it that’s 13.5” diameter.

I also picked up this old timex display for some small diecast cars ive collected. Eventually I’ll repaint it and add lights inside. Of coarse my son claimed part of it for his cars.

Finally did some moving around in the garage and found a spot for the display case and a few other of my toys I’ve had laying around.

I finally got the wild hair to cut down the catalog rack in hopes that I didn’t screw it up in the process. It was huge and took up a lot of room. So I had a plan for a while of making a wall hanger out of it. So I finally went for it and I am pleased with the outcome.
