Talking tio a friend yesterday and teh subject of door openers came up. He said he tried to buy a jackshaft opener but the ones he saw wouldn't work for anything over 9'??

What's the max size for a liftmaster?? I need to know too as I have 10x10 doors that need openers soon.

Thanks

IIRC, it's 180sf, so a 10x18 would be the largest. I know they work fine on mine, the largest of which is 16x8.5.

The max size of the door a model 3800 will handle is.

High Lift and standard lift doors up to 14' high

Doors up to 18' wide

Doors up to 180 sq. ft.

While there may be a maximum size for this particular door opener, that does NOT hold for ALL jackshaft openers. For example, the jackshaft openers on our town's firehouse door have no problem working doors that are 13' high x 11' wide. And those wood/glass doors weigh a ton.
