Max Jack Question - portable?

Who frequently moves their MaxJack posts? They advertise it as being portable but it looks like most users permanently mount them.

I’m thinking of saving this year for a Max Jack next year. I’d have to improve my floor as it’s not thick enough and has some cracks, so this is a significant undertaking and cost, especially here in Canada where thing cost a lot more. I’d like to know exactly what I’m getting before I spend this kind of money.

I have a 20x20 garage with 8-1/2’ ceiling.
I park 2 cars in the garage during the summer and one in the winter, none are daily drivers.
I can keep one post by the wall almost all the time but the post in the centre id like to remove and store against the wall when not in use.
I’d also like to set up 2 or 3 sets of anchors so I can move the lift around.
Usually over the winter I take on a major project, like replacing an engine or doing floor pans in a car. With one car in the garage I usually park it in the centre, so I’d like to be able to use the lift in the centre or one either side of the garage.
If it’s a lot of work to set up the lift to the extent that it’s faster to just use a jack and stands for some jobs it’s not worth the trouble of buying a lift.

Thanks!

I have a 2 car garage; I do as you suggest - leave the side post permanently installed, and store the 2nd post next to it. Wheel it into the middle of the garage when I want to use it. I drilled a couple holes and inserts into the storage location so it's screwed down for storage.

I have multiple anchor sets in the middle of the garage for variable width vehicles.

I have the hoses run in the ceiiling with quick connects, allowing me to quick connect the central post I move up very quickly.

I have some pictures here (hopefully this works). Let me know if you have any additional questions.
