Max Jax Front & Rear Clearance? Am I Missing Something!?

Hello,

I just ordered one of these MaxJax lifts, and am planning where to put it. The instructions say I need a minimum of 12’ clearance front and rear to any obstruction. 10’ will be more than enough to put my longest vehicle on the lift, and still be able to walk around both sides. Am I missing (failing to think about) something that’s going to bite me later, if I don’t follow their recommendation here?

Thanks!

i just got mine this past week and i seen that in the manual as well. I believe or took it that they want it mounted in the center of your garage. My garage is 19' and change, so i measured both my longest vehicle (2011 tacoma extra cab, extended bed) and smallest vehicle (AP1 S2000) and the lift points for both vehicles. I seen that 7' roughly is where i can lift both vehicles, and still have 2.5+ ft to walk in front of them. If having a 24' long garage is the only way to own this lift then that would put a dooozy on alot of people who want this lift in the future.
