Makes sense as they have been selling the Danmar 4-post for a few years now..

I installed one for a friend a few months back, it's a pretty nice lift..

I guess they can make a 'group buy' that's just a little bigger than the ones organized here at GJ. :)

I guess I would have to pay sales tax on this. Seems like it's still better to go directly to Danmar. Group buy price is $1800 shipped and I don't think you pay sales tax unless you are located in the state they are sold out of.

True, but doesn't Costco have an unlimited return policy?

I saw it on Costco.com a few weeks ago. I didn't realize that was not common knowledge at GJ, or I would have mentioned it. I got all excited when I saw it, and the price. My wife is going to smack me if I mention the word lift again.

Probably but I don't foresee any issues with the product that would make me want to return it.

True... was just thinking of the "uneven lifting" recently experienced by people (haven't kept up with the threads so if it's been remedied then sorry for bringing it up again... but when I was reading up on them there were quite a few people "living with" something they weren't comfortable with). If I "foresee" a problem I don't buy the item in the first place. My thought is it covers "unforseen" problems.

Not trying to argue with you. If you feel better going the other route to save the money, then that's right way to go. My way isn't any better than your way. To each his own. I was just mentioning it as I've "lived with" stuff in the past that was unsatisfactory but the seller/manuf wasn't willing to do anything, and hence I was happy to move to where there is a Costco because if anything I buy there doesn't live up to my expectations for a reasonable time I can return it. Especially when I'm talking about something that is going to be holding a car over my head. That would be a factor with something like this where I've read about problems.

For me, the extra I would pay in tax would be worth the unlimited return. If you don't think so, then . I just thought I'd mention it for those who feel the same as me.

Did Costco drop the MaxJax?? It's on the website pictures, but you can't find the specific item to purchase....only the Danmar 4 post lift is available

I think I may have nabbed one of the last Cdn Costco Maxjax's this morning.... I had been watching the price. Costco.ca had it for $2199 I believe.... Saw it was marked down to $1999.99Cdn, ordered it on my Mastercard, - so I can get some rewards points.

Says order off to fullfillment, should be delivered in the next 2-3 weeks.

Tonight, Cdn Costco (Costco.ca) says item not available... maybe they are rotating them out of inventory now...
