I suppose this is the correct forum (mods feel free to move to heating / cooling if appropriate).

The previous homeowner ran 10/2 Romex from the box in the basement across the house to the garage for (apparently) a heater.

I have a 5kW Dayton G73 heater that I was thinking of connecting in the garage.

My best estimate (on the long side) is that the wire run is about 75' from the box.

Is this too long for 10/2 at 30A for the heater?

Replacing the wire is going to be next to impossible, as the basement has since been finished.

Thanks
