Maximizer 2.0 vs Launch x431 pad2

Hey guys...are these 2 scanners essentially identical? Or did Matco get there grubby little hands on it and alter the hardware/software in any way? Thinking about purchasing one, but only the Matco version is available locally. Would love to hear all thoughts about these 2 units!
