I have the ugliest garage on my block...and my block isn't that nice. But this sagging, rotting dump with a mountain range for a floor has produced a class-winning roadrace bike, several handsome motorcycle restorations, a nice looking car or three and a mechanically-gifted son.

By going fully vertical on the walls and using a modular approach, we've been able to cram a lot of fab capabilities and motorcycle and parts storage into a small area. There are no walls without something on them, and just about every large item I have is on wheels, so the shop can be reconfigured from cramped storage to working shop in a few minutes, as long as it's not raining.

I don't know if it's me.....but, I see NOTHING wrong with that garage.....in fact, it's a lot more organized than some of the examples we have in GJ.

Love your drill press.....but can you post better pictures of what you did with your grinder stand? That looks neat.

Thanks, Bro. We're on winter lockdown right now, but as soon as it warms up I'll be posting photos of a lot of the crazy tools/carts/benches I've fab'd over the years. I just found this forum, it's awesome!

Mr Foully....your going to fit in just fine here.....

You might want to browse the fabrication section....you will have a lot in common with them.....

That's my kind of place. I would be right at home there. Looks just the right amount of old school mechanic shop. Cool drill press and grinder. Great storage shelves. Love to see a well used shop. Welcome to GJ!

Honestly I really dig the cluttered but organized look. You've got a very useful garage.

Looks like a well used and personal organized shop to me. I bet you know every thing in there and have built a lot of cool stuff.

Thanks guys! I came here looking for ideas for a dream garage but found that this place is really about getting the most out of what you've got, no matter what it is that you've got. Hence the photos.

Everything I own is in a box with a label. Although it's cramped, I know where everything is.

I've been in there thirteen years. I'm not a mechanic or a machinist, so some projects can be challenges but the most fun I have out there is making the place even more efficient.

As it warms up I'll take some photos of the stuff I've built.

Keen eyes on spotting the H1 Gonefly, you'll be pleased to find that it's got an H2 engine in it. It runs, but has issues.
