Hi,

I am researching my future pole barn and had a quick question.

Can I fit an 11' normal garage door in a pole barn with 12' sidewalls. I am unsure with the header if an 11' door will fit. Someone hear has to either have done it or researched it. I need to fit my toy hauler which is 10'6" tall.

Thanks

My building is 12 ft eves, with 10 ft doors. A steel building, I'm not sure if one could easily get more height on the doors than what I have. I could perhaps get six inches, I don't think a foot would be possible, but given enough money anything is possible!

Look at low clearance tracks for over head doors. I have this problem right now with my door/building. Their are a lot of options to fix this. It might take more phone calls to find someone that can fix it but it can be done. I have a to get my 16x12 door turned in 5"

Typically you need 1' of headroom above opening for the door. There are low clearance options that cost a bit more but can get another ~6".
