I have been looking for a used MaxJax for awhile now before I bite the bullet and order a new one for $2400. I actually had one pop up on Craigslist today that about 100 miles from me. The add says its new and never installed but it is missing the quick connects for the lines. The add says he bought it from a widow and her husband bought it new but passed away before he got to install it. He is asking $1500..What do you guys think? Good buy being the quick connects are missing? Or to high? I emailed him a bit ago asking for some pictures if he can text to me but haven't heard back yet.

Sounds like a good buy.

It's a good deal. As said above, the disconnects that come with the lift aren't all that great. Check the MaxJax thread and order the better ones.

I like mine a lot.

Cheers,
Chris

If its brand new and never used or installed its a great price for the maxjax. As stated above, the fittings that come with it are lousy. I replaced all of mine with fittings from discount hydraulics online. Decent stuff at a good price, better then what is supplied with the maxjax. If you have high ceilings, Atlas makes a nice lift that I will probably get when I move. The atlas is a full rise and under 2k. But for $1500, new, the maxjax is a good deal. Discount hydraulics has longer hoses that you can have made up as well. The hoses and the cart for the pump work if you're planning on breaking it down every time you use it, but most people here on the forum, mounted their pump on the wall or a post and made it more of permanent install.

Think I am going to pass on it. He cant send me pictures cause the pump is in his kitchen,The arms are at one of his rental houses down the road. One part is in his shed and the two beams are on a pallet in his yard. He also is not sure if he has the bolts that hold the cart together that the pump rides on. On top of that its 100 miles from me. I figure for $700 more dollars I can have a new one delivered to my house. Think I may pass.

100 mile cluster f drive, I'd pass too. And even though it wasn't ever installed, I bet most of the parts were stored out in the weather...lol.

Guy is needing money. He has messaged me a bunch. He said all has been stored inside except the beams have been in yard on a pallet for 3 weeks. He said he would deliver 100 miles to me for $1250..I would just need the quick connects. That sound fair?

He sent me this picture of the pump he has in his kitchen. I talked to him all evening. The lift is less than a year old. The widow he bought it from husband dies 6 months ago and this guy is a carpenter and did some work for her on her house for the lift. The man had never installed the lift so its never been used. He never even put the cart together the pump goes on. He has the cart but the widow couldn't find the bolts that bolts it together or the quick couples for the hydraulic lines,And he didn't see any floor anchors. He said everything is new.The beams have only been outside for 3 weeks so they look new but dusty. Here is the pump. Everything look like it is suppose to?

Well its all here in my garage now.You can tell its never been installed. Only other thing I see missing is I dont have two small wheels for the pump cart. That stuff must have been in a bag cause missing the cart wheels,The bolts and nuts that bolt cart together and the quick connects for the hydraulic lines. Here are the pictures of it. It is like new with some dirt on it.

Looks like all of the major stuff is there.
Are the pins that hold the arms onto the carriages in the plastic bin?

You should be able to download the instruction manual from the MaxJax site, that will tell you everything you have and what you're missing.
I would go with epoxy anchors, they are much better than the Wej-its.

Pins are in there but no fittings at all and I noticed he didnt get the flow divider or the hose that goes to that. Hope thats not a pricey part.
