For those that have a maxjax. Do you use any kind of dust covers when not in use? Any ideas for soft covers? Right now I just use large plastic bags taped together to keep dust out. It can get pretty dusty when cutting wood or metal, etc in the garage. Just think it's important to keep the columuns and sliding blocks & greased surfaces clean from debris.

Hmmm, almost seems like a waste of money. Can't say I've ever seen anyone put a cover on a two or four post lift and they're just as exposed.

Not trying to discourage you from getting yourself a cover. Depends on how much you want to spend. Could go to Harbor Freight and get a large tarp to drape over them or like stated earlier get a shop to custom make some covers.

Agree it does seem a bit overkill but with all the metal grinding, wood working & every day dust & paint overspray, I figure it to be a valid concern in the long term. I'll probably just stick with the cheap trash bags when doing messy work.

I never would have suspected somebody wanted a dust cover for a lift. I'm actually impressed somebody has this level of OCD. That is in no way a putdown either.
