Good points there Dave. If I can't get in on the first 20, I'll probably just wait it out for a bit and see if they offer something again after they've been in production a little while.

At least the Daytona 500 should be over by the time the site opens up, though I may have to watch the beer drinking during the race so I don't forget

what about a group buy on a two post bigboy lift like that xpr-10acx? I'm waiting for a good deal on one to pull the trigger (no used ones locally as of yet). GSE will sell the Atlas 9 for $2160 shipped. Something tells me a Bendpak or Challenger or Rotary would be better for my nerves. This group buy sounds like it might be sold out quick.

ANSWERS:

After purchasing, how long until they arrive to us?

-Scott

It will take roughly two weeks for shipment.

I'll second 38Chevy's comment! Hopefully I can get in on the 20, but based on the response here, they could probably sell alot more! At the $2000 price point, I'd have to rethink the comparison with a 4 post.

-cw_racefan

I would have to agree as well. I will try and get in on the 20, but if not I will most likely not be purchasing in this economy. I understand the need to limit the sale, but something like a one - three day purchase window would allow all that a truly interested to get in on the deal, and not result in anyone getting frustrated.

-nmk_61802

All good coments... And why delay two months, other than build up the hype? Best of luck to those who can get one...H

-volvo

We wish we could offer more than 20 units for the initial groupbuy, but because this is a new product, our intentions were to immediately release these 20 units to the public for review and gauge more interest for others.

This is a contest. Like being the 106th caller into a radio station, we're giving the MaxJax Portable Two Post Lift to the first 20 Garage Journal users that fill out the form and hit submit.

If you don't make it on the list, don't worry, who knows what deals we may come up with next!

I understand, just sorry to hear it. You have a great product and will sell out fast and , Good luck to all. If it is in the cards someday I will try to get one without the games.

Another question for DHR (Buzz) -

Obviously its not included in this group purchase contest thingy, but any idea what the street price of the motrocycle adapter will be? That's one of the reasons I'm considering this lift, and would be nice to have an idea how much $$ it will run me later.

Thanks!!

I got a response back from them this week that the bike adapter will be $65, additional anchors will be $6 for 5.

Sorry about that, I kinda ran those together. They're not needed for the bike adapter. That's for concrete anchor sleeves if you need more to mount the lift in a second location, or be able to mount the posts at different widths for different vehicles.

Would we be able to add on lift gate delivery to this initial group purchase for an additional fee?

I would need a way to get the lift off of the truck. Each column is ~300 pounds and then another ~200 of other stuff would make it very hard to get off of the truck. Once it is off of the truck (on my driveway), I would have no problem moving it.

This lift would be perfect for removing the entire drivetrain from my firebird from underneath the car, which I plan to do very soon.

At what height are the safety lock holes? I have an 8ft ceiling but I also have a support beam running through my garage.

I'm surprised it's so calm here today ?

(it's not time yet to log on to get the lift. I'm central time zone so, it will be a while yet)

Hello All,

Groupbuy is on schedule today at 3:00pm PST. At that time, please go to http://www.maxjaxusa.com/groupbuy/. Please login with MaxJaxGB as the username and GBMaxPass as the password (case sensitive).

After logging in, you will be taken to the group buy sign-up form. Please fill in all fields as accurate as possible.

When the form is completely filled out, hit the submit button.

Once 20 verified Garage Journal user names are filled, the form will close and the results will be displayed at http://www.maxjaxusa.com/groupbuy/.

A few details...

- Signing up more than once does not increase your chances of winning.
- If you made it on the top 20, a Dannmar Representative will contact you the next business day.
- Shipping arrangements can be made when a Dannmar Representative contacts you.

We thank you for being part of Dannmar's first promotion for the MaxJax Portable Two Post Lift. Your continued support on Garage Journal is much appreciated.

Sincerely,

The Dannmar Team

It worked for me the second try. The first time, I copy & pasted in the password, and it didn't take. When I typed it in, it worked fine... Here is what the registration page looks like...
