this is all very comical. They shoul have taken ALL names weeks ago wit credit card verified and then randomly pull 20 winners. This first 20 to login is pure silliness. Only would have been fair that ALL here start on equal footing and then draw names. Tj

Well, all I can say is the site is probably swamped and it times out .... typically small sites are not set up for the traffic they are getting.

To err is human, to REALLY foul up requires a COMPUTER!!!

Give the IT guys a break....could be a TON of folks trying for this product and causing what amounts to a DoS attack....

I'm done for the day..will try later.

I suggest to do what I did. I sent a PM with my information... if they want to do the right thing they will honor that. I have to get back to my family. Cheers!

This is a bunch of $hit; set up a contest and it goes amuck; time to look elsewhere for a lift...and better service...

Open up the offer to the GJ members who want it, not the first 20. This is going to make some upset, unhappy customers otherwise. Not exactly what they intended.

I have been trying since the original 3:00 time and now the new 3:30 time, still no success with the webpage. The new one now does not have an error, but the page is blank?

It's not a DoS as they are serving up the pages to us. It just appears that there is a problem with the form that submits the info. Maybe the Database can't handle that many inserts at one time?

Scott, you are right on the exact nature of a DoS, but the end result is the same...I hope everyone will give them the benefit of the doubt for the technical problems...

It worked for me the second try. The first time, I copy & pasted in the password, and it didn't take. When I typed it in, it worked fine... Here is what the registration page looks like...

One thing we were afraid of...

The word got out to a lot of car forums out there. We received hundreds of inbound links. The IT guys are telling me that the amount of traffic we received crashed our servers because it exceeded our bandwidth.

Obviously the interest in this product has well exceeded our expectations.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We're going to increase the size of our bandwidth and re-announce the contest on Monday.
