Just about to pull the trigger on one of these and can't for the life of me figure-out how to get it home. Dealer says I have to either have a forklift available to offload it or I can get it from the terminal (wherever that is) if i pay additional $. Another vendor said "no problem, we'll deliver it free to any business address." Since this is largely a purchase made by residential types like me, how's that helpful?

Interested in knowing who else was faced with this and what their solution was. I have a trailer and it's no problem to get it out of the trailer. The problem is getting it off the truck and into the trailer.

Thanks up front!

Go pick it up at the freight line's terminal. They'll load it on your trailer for free.

Or pay the extra money for liftgate service, and they'll drop it at your place. Typically around $70.

how far is the warehouse it is at now?
Do they have a warehouse "in their system" that is closer to you?

I went to their warehouse with my trailer.
What they wanted in shipping costs to get it within 50 miles of here was more, than me going to their warehouse 125 miles away

I had posted this because I hadn't heard from inquiries I'd made to Dannmar about this. Talked with them today and it turns-out that one of the terminals is actually about 4 miles away! They'll load it into my trailer for an additional $40. Feor others considering this, there are two carriers. Dannmar can tell you what communities have terminals.

Turned out to be easier than I had imagined.

I'm using Yellow. I will mention this to the vendor. Makes sense that there shouldn't be an additional charge to save them from a delivery that would cost at least that much in time, equipment, and fuel.
