MaxJax praise...

I ordered a MaxJax lift about a month or so ago and got it 2 weeks ago. Every part was included in the package and it went together as advertised. The only issue that I had was when bleeding the lifting, without weight, it wasn't perfectly level. I contacted Gabe and he explained that it should correct once loaded with a vehicle. Well...I put the car up today and it was perfectly level. What an awesome set up this is....I LOVE it! Thank you Gabe and everybody over at GSE!

What did you use for a drain pan changing the oil? I'm having a hard time finding a drain high enough to avoid splashing but yet short enough to fit underneath!

Hey guys....I'll have to measure the garage but the bay is a decent size. The distance between the posts is 121." The floor is indeed RaceDeck and is the 18" tiles which were very easy to lay down. Oil change accessories are found online...they have the adjustable funnel type or you can make your own. In the case of my Yaris...I have installed a Fujitomo drain valve and I can simply hook up a clear line from that into the pan. The line is about 8 cents a foot at the hardware store. It makes oil changes VERY easy.

I love the lift....one of the best things I have done to date.

wow, that lift is awesome. I don't think my garage is wide enough for install a max jax but I had a question on the concrete, Are you guys installing these types of lifts in fairly new homes or newly poured concrete? I just bought a house earlier this year but it was built in 1968. There's a dry well in the center of both my garage bays and i stuck a pry bar down there and it seems like it's hollow under the slab. (1-2ft) How would you even know the strength of the concrete and if it could withstand the specs for the lift?

Eek. I dunno... this is probably overkill, but if I were contemplating a lift in a garage with hollows underneath, I'd probably jackhammer the floor outa there and pour a new, proper floor (with piping to run the hydraulic lines and whatever else I might want). You could probably remove it in a day and jackhammers aren't that much to rent. The new concrete will be a few hundred $$ though. Like I said, probably overkill but at least you'd know it's to spec and therefore safe.

Can't wait. Already ordered them. The young lady gave me a price break though $20.50 each plus $15 to ship the set. $97 total.
