I just completed installing my maxjax today and I struggled with getting the correct spacing for my vehicles. I have been reading the different posts and some of the spacing sizes others are using. I would like to suggest we create a post dedicated what spacing is working for our vehicles so others could use as a guide.

I set my lift at 124” lifting a 04 RX330; in my opinion that is a little too close and 126” may have worked better. I also have a 04 330xi which I think is going to be even tighter.

I have a lift that has almost that between the posts on the inside. I would guess you have less than 100" between the inside part. The manufacturer should have a maximum distance they can be apart. I think you will hear from other maxjax owners, there are a few around here.

Tool time, glad to hear you go your Maxjax. As bad as this sounds, I haven't taken mine out of the back of truck yet! I picked it up a wek ago at the terminal

I had vacation scheduled for this week; my plan was to epoxy the garage floor first then install the lift. But, I have not been able to get with Christine to walk my Lowes through ordering the epoxy coat. It probably was good I did the installation first the weather has been too hot in southern Pa I am not sure the epoxy would of dried quick enough.

FYI, there is a mistake in the installation instructions, at least on my unit. On the pumping unit the red push in plug is the correct opening to use, the installation instructions show the first plug, which is not correct per Gabe.

I don’t have all the air out of the one side yet, which is causing the one side to lift a little quicker. The more I work bleeding the air out the better it is getting.

I wish the hoses were a little longer and I discovered my garage outlets are only on a 15 amp breaker so I have a little more work to do.

You should consider at least drilling the anchor holes before the epoxy job, the drill tends to chip it up. Cleaner looking job that way IMO

I am glad I didn’t get the epoxy first this was a little more work than I anticipated. I have a ½” hammer drill and I bought a cheap 7/8” bit that lasted the first 2” before I rented a good drill and bit. I think I will be adding another set of holes and purchasing the epoxy style for that set of holes.
