MaxJax Under Hoist Jack Stands

Hello, Any MaxJax users have a Low Rise Jack Stand recomendation? I am having trouble finding any that will go below 4'.
I'd prefer to keep them under $100 a unit.

What about cutting down the round base style? You'd simply shorten the support pipe and the all-thread then bolt it back together. Does this sound feasible?
