In my experience these are great cases for the money, I like to say '90% of Pelican for 40% the cost' about 'Apache' cases. They're sturdy, water resistant, good latches, the locking tabs will accommodate a 1/4" shank lock.

And at 50% off TODAY, they are an even bigger value. Run do not walk to your nearest store location. Coupon is valid in-store only.

I have and have abused their 1800, 3800 cases and their big rifle case (which is heavy even when empty) and today I bought the 'carry-on' for a mere $50.

Do they have multiple grades?

I handled a similar HF case a while back, very thin/flimsy compared to a pelican or Plano case.

There's nothing thin or flimsy about the 'Apache' product line.
There's another brand in their stores, a tool name IIRC. Flattish stackable cases you could put small power tools etc in.
They also have a thin / flimsy 'Bunker Hill' brand of plastic 30cal ammo can equivalents.

I walked in and got a rifle case, back out and in and got the XL handgun case and left. In and out totally from parking to driving away less than 10 minutes. It was a good day yesterday.
