I was working my part time job this morning at Auto Zone and while doing my normal thing, took notice of our "DIY Bedliner" coating kits. And the thought struck me........How well would this stuff work if applied to a concrete floor? I know once they're on the bed of a truck they're dang near impenetrable, and the textured finish would be great for no slipping in wet situations.

Thoughts?

Unless the manufacturer recommends it use and specifies its application on concrete then it would not be a good idea. It will only lead to headaches for you if the product fails.

There is however a product called "HERCULINER" that advocates its use on concrete, wood and other materials. I'm not sure how well it works. Rubberized membranes and wear surfaces are common place in the construction industry in such areas as parkades.

If the product was for use on concrete then special primers may be necessary, but as noted earlier the manufacturer would specify a application procedure.

Well, like I said, just a thought. I was talking to some guys in the store a while back who had applied the stuff to a counter top and cabinets for garage use and loved it. The thought just struck me to take it one step further.
