what's the point of 1/4" drive impact sockets? I understand 3/8" & larger impacts, but why 1/4" when it's used mostly for small fasteners with relatively low levels of fastening torque?

they last longer when used day in and day out on an air ratchet or cordless impact. They're also a ***** to find when dropped in an engine compartment ensuring future sales.:beer:

I personally find them handy wrenching on motorcycles. Also, for me, chrome sockets are for ratchets only. Thats just the habit I got into...
