The guy that did my concrete is a great guy but I don't understand everything he has said and I want to keep moving with my floor. I told him the surface of my floors seem soft compared to say my basement concrete. These seem easy to gouge. So I asked him what I should coat it with. He said there was a sealer applied to the floor when it was finished. It is a cure and seal that slows the cure down to produce its ultimate 28 day MPA value and its also a sealer to protect it. My understanding of a sealer is that water would bead up on it but there moisture in the concrete whenever it is wet outside. I thought I should apply a densifier and then seal it with a sealer or an epoxy but now I'm not sure if anything can be done. Could you guys translate and help me understand my next step?
thanks

What he used slows the evaporation process and provides a basic sealer.
I doubt a densifier will penetrate it now.

Test it. Does water bead up or does it get absorbed?
If it goes in , the densifier will too.

After it is densified an sealer could be used.

Water goes in. Should I use a hardner or a densifier or is there a difference?
thanks again
