Not sure if the Amazon link will work (been having trouble lately). If not, go to Amazon and search for Mayhew 60001 and it should come up. Ships from and Sold by Amazon for $38.

These are the "assembled in the USA" models but still have the lifetime satisfaction guaranteed warranty. Appear to be a quality product with striking caps and a full "tang."

I think this is a good price - but let me know if not, I ordered a set!

I believe I found the set you have seen, searching on the HD website. It is packaged with a hook and pick set as well (not sure if that's normal or a special buy). Currently priced at $40.

It does look similar, but the HD set is made in Taiwan (not that this Mayhew is "made" in the US, but at least assembled is something), and I notice the HD set also does not include strike caps. BUT, the ease of HD warranty is nice too.

I think I'm going to wait for the Mayhew set to come in and see how it looks.

I'd say not a bad deal. If the Mayhew set doesn't look like anything special when it comes in, that is probably the way to go.

Those Husky sets were a Xmas deal. They have doubled the Xmas price from $10/$19 to the current prices of $20/$40.

I bought a set of each between Black Friday and Xmas. I have not used them yet.

It's my understanding that the Dominator handles Mayhew uses are the only part made in Taiwan, and that the steel scraper blade is made in the USA.

Of course you can't be certain, but Mayhew is far more likely to be a quality product than whatever HD has today slapped the Husky name on.

Just an update on these - they came in today. Not sure if manufacturing changed for the better or if I got old stock, but my packaging does not say "Assembled in the USA" as it shows in the picture, it says "100% Made in the USA" on it. They look really nice. Haven't tried them yet, but I think I'll keep them.

Answer #2: Since 2016 these products are 100% Made in USA. We mold these handles in our plant in Westminster, Ma.

So it sounds like the handles used to be made in Taiwan, but since 2016 the entire scraper has been made in Massachusetts. Nice! I am going to buy the angled set, part #60004.
