This happens so often, that I'm thinking that they post they teasers and want Forums like here to post a thread. They have the site set to let 5 or 10 sales happens. Then the rest is just clicks counted and possible sales from the rest of us losers who missed it.

The reason why I say this is because they have become too efficient at shutting it down.

I think they do this on purpose.

They do. It's all done automatically. When items sit for a long time, the price starts dropping daily. Then, when they sell one, the price goes up. Price does not go up immediately, though, so some more people can get in on the deal if they hurry. If nobody buys anymore after the first, the price still goes up. Then it starts dropping again.
