As far as I know the main difference between the catspaw line is actually where the tool is made, correct? Their catspaw line is supposed to be made in Taiwan or the likes. Is it otherwise functionally identical and the same size as the standard one? The two pliers I'm talking about are the cable pliers that you use to remove various hose clamps, you know, the ones with the very annoying three little prongs that are just insanely inconvenient for everyone without pretty much this tool.

Mainly I'm curious if they are the same size and they both function the same. I have a few coworkers with the mayhew version rebaged by matco or mac and I'm thinking of getting ahold of the pair.

Here is an example of each of the type of tool I'm talking about:

Get the 28650.

Is there a huge difference? I'm not sure I get if one is larger or not, and if there is a functional difference. I know the 28650 is the one I've seen around the shop and quite like it, just wondering differences and if I should get the 28650 what the reasoning behind it is.

The 28650 has large comfortable handles and is a pleasure to operate. The quality is exquisite. You couldn't give me any other hose clamp pliers for constant tension band clamps.
