Any opinions on the above mac cart? I may have the opportunity to get one cheap & am interested in the layout but would like some feedback. The sliding top seems pretty cool & useful. I could see it being a pain with the space it takes up & having to have it slid out to get things from the sides. It would be to replace a 5 drawer hf cart in a smaller auto shop

I got one around xmas time, finish is good, very beefy cart I'm never worried about hurting it,
But 2 cons sliding top doesn't lock in the open position so when I'm on uneven ground it will slowly slide closed I have to jam it open on both sides with something while using inner compartment.

Little heavy for daily whipping around my hoist for vehicle service
But I'm ok with this due to large workspace and storage, I can see it maybe being a issue for someone else.

Hope this helps.

I have a 1305, which is the one where the top slides back and opens up. I would think the top of yours would be easier to deal with than mine.

The box itself is awesome, with one exception: the drawers hold so much that mine ends up being very heavy, and it isn't practical to push around anymore. I recently picked up a 5 drawer HF cart to do my little run around chores at the hospital.

I had the 187. Great cart.. Sold it to move up but kinda regret it.

I'd buy it again if I could get one at a great price b

Good to hear some cons. In my old shop those things would have been a problem but now I'm in a small shop & only use 3 bays usually. It used to be a jaguar dealership so the floor is pretty nice. I have another cart so if I don't like it I'd just bring it home.
